Invigorating

I've been doing radio for 8 years now, and even though it's a fun job, there are times when things get a big routine. I guess with any job you have to find ways to keep things interesting.

Over the past couple of years, one of the things that keeps me excited about my job is my a cappella program "The Blend".

First there was launching the show (the first of its kind in the Philippines). Then, there was the album (the first contemporary a cappella compilation in the country).

Most recently, it has been the show's new schedule. With the program now 3-hours long and in a more prime timeslot (9am-12nn Saturdays), the audience response has been the best ever.

I can't wait to see what the next exciting development will be.

A cappella groups (with links)

The webpage for "The Blend" is under construction, for major upgrades, so it's currently down.

Every single show, people ask where to get the music I play, so I'm putting the links here.
The Blend, by the way, airs every Saturday from 9am to 12noon.

Separation

Monday I decided to take a big step in my recovery from the back surgery. The new schedule at work has allowed me to get a lot more quality rest, so I felt it was time to leave the "Dr. House" cane at home.

Perhaps I should've waited just one day longer. Monday I stumbled through "On The Charts" (Jamaica's show, which I'm not used to doing) and I also promised to host our movie screening that same evening.

When I finally got near the bed, I just went straight to sleep. I was so tired that I forgot to take off my contact lenses or even wash my face. At least today went a lot more smoothly. I'm sure things will just keep getting better.

Great news everyone!

The time is finally here! Last weekend on "The Blend" I announced that starting August 11 the show will be three hours long!

So every Saturday from 9am-12noon Jam 88.3 will be broadcasting all a cappella music!

Please tell your friends and don't hesitate to text the show at Jam 883 (send to 2968).

Long live a cappella!
